Ruth Mote, M.S., ALC, EMDR-T
Hi, I’m Ruth, the practice owner, and I’m proud to serve the Baldwin County community with compassionate, personalized counseling right here in Baldwin County. Life on the Gulf Coast can look peaceful on the outside, but many of us quietly carry stress, grief, trauma, relationship strain, or the weight of major life transitions. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, navigating a change, facing challenges in your marriage or family, or simply needing a safe, confidential place to sort through your thoughts, I’m here to meet you exactly where you are, without judgment and with genuine care.
I work with individuals of all ages and stages of life, offering one-on-one counseling, family counseling, and marriage counseling tailored to your unique needs. My approach is warm, grounded, and practical.
I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a highly researched and effective therapy that helps the brain and body process difficult or traumatic experiences so they no longer feel overwhelming. EMDR can be life-changing for those struggling with anxiety, trauma, grief, panic, or lingering emotional wounds. It allows healing at a deeper level, not just coping, but true renewal.

Hi, I’m Anna Smith, and I am an Associate Licensed Counselor in Alabama. I’m so glad you’re here. Taking the first step toward counseling can feel both courageous and overwhelming, and my goal is to provide a safe, welcoming space where you feel seen, heard, and supported. I believe every person has a unique story, and I feel honored to walk alongside you as you navigate life’s challenges, discover your strengths, and work toward meaningful growth.
I work with adolescents, adults, and individuals who may be experiencing anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, self-esteem struggles, or simply feeling stuck and unsure of what comes next. No matter where you are in your journey, I strive to meet you with compassion, understanding, and without judgment.
My approach to counseling is centered on building a trusting relationship in which you feel comfortable being your authentic self. I believe that meaningful change happens through connection, collaboration, and having a space where you can openly explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Together, we will identify your goals, build on your strengths, and develop healthy coping strategies that support your overall well-being.
As an Associate Licensed Counselor, I am committed to continued learning and providing thoughtful, ethical care under the guidance of clinical supervision. While every person’s journey is different, I hope to create a counseling experience that feels encouraging, empowering, and tailored to your individual needs.
